A few weeks ago, I stumbled across a basket full of 99¢ t-shirts at Crest Foods. Then a week later I found the same sale at Homeland.
Right away, I knew what I would do with them so I purchased a selection of fun spring colors.

I think the girls and I will make some of these fun rolled flowers during Spring Break and then use them for wreaths and head pieces and pillows and who knows what else.

Check out this simple to follow rolled flower tutorial at Tatertos & Jello. It’s also filled with lots of ideas for how to use them!
Are you planning on doing any crafting over Spring Break?

Pita chips are one of my favorite snacks.
“Back in the day”, we used to see quite a few sales and coupons for Stacy’s Pita Chips. Not so much anymore. And I just can’t justify spending almost three dollars for a bag of chips when half the bag turns out to be crumbs and a package of pita bread only costs a dollar fifty.
So now when the craving hits, I make my own. Here’s how:

Stack two pieces of pita bread and use large, sharp knife to cut into triangle shaped sections. Right now I use store bought pita bread but it’s on my list to experiment with a made from scratch recipe.

Each pita should yield eight chips.

Spread pita triangle in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil on one side. This is where my Misto Olive Oil Sprayer comes in handy!
Now add your seasoning. Just sprinkle on as lightly or liberally as you like.
Now bake. Either 10-12 minutes in 350 degree oven or about 7 minutes in a 400 degree oven. Just watch the chips carefully as they tend to burn quickly.

Not only are homemade pita chips more cost efficient but you can also experiment with your own seasonings and toppings. I use a mixture of onion powder, garlic powder and salt for mine, but you could also add any other spice you love like basil, oregano, thyme, or even parmesan cheese.
Be creative and have fun!
