I haven't been shopping much at Walgreens since the Balance Rewards program was put in place. It just gave me a headache to think about it. However,  this news is enough to make me reconsider. Walgreens has updated their register systems to allow you to redeem your Balance Rewards points in $1 increments!  It used to be that you had to accumulate at least 5,000 points before you could redeem them.
